Here's before and after pics of widening the 5075 another 15+ inches

Feels like a totally different tractor.

Stability wise it is a lot better. I always try to run mine as wide as is reasonable for the jobs I do.

Quite a difference
Did you have to turn the rims around and remount the tires or were you able to get that much w/o doing that ?

Did the same with my NH. HUGE difference. Should be done at the dealership before they are sold.

Do you notice the extra width in the woods? Going from a 4' atv to the 6' tractor has required alot of trail work at my place, but I need to run my tractor as wide as it goes for the hills.

Sort of, if you mean by swapping the left outer rim and tire to the right side and vise-versa. That keeps the tread direction the same and no bead busting required.

Yes, definitely noticeable squeezing through the barn door or on the paths, but a lot less pucker fatigue when working the FEL on a side hill to pick up branches and tips with stumps (surprise!). Which are going to get even sneakier bidding under snow.

Does it affect the turning radius of your tractor? IMHO, I would think that the wider tires would take time to get used to.

Okay, so what did you do to widen the stance? Wheel spacers? B.

Ag type tires-rims normally have 4-5 different width possibilities built into the rim. So just by switching things around a person can get several different widths with no cost other than the time and labor it takes to do all the moving of everything around.

Thanks for posting. I learned something new.

Turning radius should not change... front tires still turn as far, the tire being spaced in a few inches shouldn't effect anything, if measuring to the center of the tractor. The additional wheel track width would be the extent of the change in "turning radius". Hit the brake on the inside tire... it'll turn!
