4Shorts love your posts/mods and ur Sang. I'm a lifelong Mustang fan, heres a few pix of my second pride and joy, not as refined as your ride (my 5 kids get the #1 pride n joy spot)View attachment 336466View attachment 336467View attachment 336468. No a/c so i'm lookn forward to some cool fall days for cruizin. Dan

My friend that is one gorgeous car. It's the reason we have a Mustang. Yours in my opinion was the greatest looking model ever produced. I had a "72 Mustang way back when but you have a real beauty sir. Love the detail and the colour. It's as refined as one could get. Really appreciate seeing it. I bet it sounds great too.
Thanks for posting.
Paul

Here is a picture of my black 2010, its an RT Classic, 5.7 hemi with a few mods. The older one is a 70 Challenger I bought in the late 1980's and restored and owned about 15 years.

For anyone interested. The Custom Generator Shelter is now completed and in place. It weighs in at over 1000 lbs and has many unique features. Over 60 hours of welding, machining and fabricating gone into it but It should last me a lifetime and then some. I'm truly glad it's done. Burning both sides of the candle has really caught up to me.
Video is uploading now ;)

Can't wait to see it! Knowing the quality of your work, I'm sure it will be top notch!

Btw, my L4760 arrived on Friday - time to start modding! Also, the Shelterlogic is on order as well. Will have a nice first project to do with the tractor once it arrives! ;)

So cool. You know I'm going to need to see pics. You'll love that beast. Mods. Cool. Can't wait.
Thanks for the compliment. Here's a few pics and what I through together.

Took over 60 hours to complete but it should last a lifetime and then some.
Here's some of the features I built into it.

- Built out of 1/8th and 1/4 steel plating. Complete system weighs 1500 lbs.
- Custom machined hinges with grease nipples.
- Built in security system.
- Canarm fan for system cooling
- Double stainless steel latches both coded for the one key.
- Hydraulic struts to keep lid open.
- Fold down front section that acts as a loading ramp for the generator.
- Special locking system in floor to hold generator in place.
- Custom exhaust system with top flapper.
- Wireless remote start added.
- Snap-On L.E.D. light added.
- Floor mat that chemical resistant.
- All openings have restricters added to keep critters out.
- Sand basted to remove mill-scale, epoxy primed and painted.
- Custom graphics by Kathy (Wifey)
- G.P.S. Tracking on generator.

Very quiet operation. Video will be on our YouTube channel tomorrow.

How did you secure it to the concrete pad?

Thanks Papa. I made a mistake doing the video. I used a special directional mic to record because it was windy out but it also made the generator to appear loud which in fact it's whisper quiet. On the plus side with using the mic you can hear a fly burp.

How did you secure it to the concrete pad?

I had pre punched oblong holes on the lower skids and placed galvanized bolts in position in the form just before the cement pour as shown in the photos.

Awesome job, Paul. You've given me a couple of new ideas when building mine. Really like the fold down front, great idea. I'll stop by this week for a closer look.

Thanks Ramsay, I'm glad it's behind me. That was a lot of work to do in a short period of time. Kathy should have your project done tomorrow. When you drop by I'll start the generator for you. It's whisper quiet.

Great job as always, like the color too.

Thanks. Glad you like it. Now that's its done we might never loose the power again

I hear you, we put in a whole house generator a few years ago and have only lost power a few times but not for very long.
Just for the piece of mind its worth it.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, we put one in (complete with an automatic transfer switch because we have a hot tub and it is a 4-season cottage up North), and the power goes out a lot. So, it has saved our bacon on several occasions!
