If thats the case, glad I don't have a BX. My feelings however are that there must be a contributing factor.

So "your feelings" outweigh the real world experience among those of us who actually own the tractors? Got it.

Anyway, radiator ordered. Got a call yesterday from my dealer telling me the radiator has been back ordered. Lovely.

If this were my tractor, I would not mess with another plastic topped radiator from Kubota. I would cancel my order and take the radiator to a radiator repair shop and have them build me one to match with a thicker core (help keep the temps down from the red zone) and solid brass top and bottom. Might even cost less and have a better radiator too.

One guy I know used a water hose to "wash" the grass dust from his radiator once in a while. Yes, he started having heat problems and his fins were packed solid. After we got that radiator out, it took us a good two hours to clean it using a pressure washer and 150lb air line. I only use air from the back and use a light to check my work and have never had a problem. Some makers have increased the fin count from 12 fpi to 8 fpi because people were not getting them clean.

edit: You will be lucky if you didn't crack the head too because of the heat.

The problem on my BX is just the opposite. It runs cold. I've never seen the temp gauge more than 1/4 up. I've put the IR temp gun to it and I get 180-190deg.Maybe I have a bad sender?
