Philip, Did yours come with a lid or did you make yours?
LOL... That is not a lid. I filled it with concrete, then painted the top with color matched Kubota Orange concrete paint. Philip.

lol, I didn't look close enough to catch that. I like it.

I've thought about how sometimes my BB is too big as a ballast and something more compact would be handy.

I use a box blade with weight added to it. But sometimes it is in the way and a pain! If a lot of loader work is being done, a compact counter weight is the way to go...

I have no idea, can you tell by the pictures? It does have extra long pins. Your local Kubota guy should be able to tell you. I am not a quick hitch guy. Philip.

I don't have a qh (yet) but I am try ing to keep it in mind in case I do. It looks like maybe a qh upper hook would need some sort of adapter to grab the upper pin because the pin is recessed into the box a little.

Not sure though.

Buddy with NH40D has quick hitch (but no hydraulic top link), he swears by it. I have hydraulic top link, and swear by it. On the GrandL series, with telescopic end links, telescopic slide stabilizers, and hydraulic top link, I just do not see how it could be that much easier to hook up a 3 point implement. I am sure others will disagree, and that's fine. (Maybe I am confusing quick hitch with Pat's easy system? I don't know? Just know I am happy with what I have) Philip.

I don't know if I'll end up going with some sort of quick hitch like the speedco or landpride, time will tell as I collect implements and see how often I swap them. And how much trouble it is. I don't mind getting off each time, but don't want to wrestle. the telescoping arms will help.

But I am trying to in general buy implements that are qh compatible or could easily be made that way in case I go that route. My understanding is by buying an extra adapter, even implements like the box which don't have room for the top hook of a qh will work.

I use front tractor weights with a 2pt connection on my quickhitch. About 1400#.Ballast 003.jpg
