I was thinking I would pick up a backhoe for my JD 855 think it is a 7a have not been able to locate a used one nearby. So over the winter spending time on TBN. Then I started thinking about all the other things I use the 3pt for, York rake, mower, tiller you get the idea so unless I want to spend lots of time changing looks like it is out. So does any one have any experience with a Bobcat 384 there smallest excavator? Thinking of looking at a used one if I can talk better half into it.

Nice and that is the kind of BH i was talking about that the guy makes his living with. Maybe just a little bigger.

public nuisance. once they are called they have to react. good guys, no fine, it lit again once they left. On its own by the way. I posted more about it in rural living.
I have had fires flare up a week after the fire went out,,, after I dug into it to pile up the remains.
hugs, Brandi

Thats not dirt thats sand , you would'nt do that here :)

there is no sand in the area were the pics were taken about 20 miles north of tulsa ok, there is about 1 foot of awesome dirt then it is clay, that is y i had to have a new aerobic septic put in. i did get lucky on my little 2.5 acres, my neighbor had one put in and about 3 foot down they hit rock and had to jackhammer the hole deep enough for the tank. i guess im lucky because i didnt have to deal with the rocks. i am actually selling my house and moving to the grand lake area in oklahoma, i am closing on the sell of my house in the morning.

Are you taking your backhoe with you or did you sell it?

My New Holland is 45 hp and will dig a hole 102" deep. It has a 16" bucket and a mechanical thumb. It is a frame mount BH. I dug out a food plot in my woods with it and this 85 foot, 18" maple almost manhandled my tractor. I got it done, but that was max for my set up.

Very nice! That is a lot of tree, did you dig around the base and then push it over?
