How hard should bearing buddies be to install?

The ones I use have a small releif hole when you put the grease in the spring platee comes out and uncovers the hole and grease comes out. You need to check them several times the first few hundred miles until the hub is full. I pull trailers 90 % of the time and have never had a bearing go bad in 35 years I just check the bb on a regular basis.

I have a set like that on my car haul trailer. Once again, rocking the pressure plate will tell you if it needs grease. The reason the hole is there is to prevent over pressurizing the BB and blowing out the rear seal when servicing.

And also most times the smaller outer bearing is the first to go. I use them and like having them, especially on longer road trips
