Hello. This is my first post here on TBN. Great site. I have been lerking for a month or two. I recently purchased my first tractor; 2007 Kubota L3400 with a loader and BH75 BH. Just started to get some time running it and I am very pleased. I wanted to ask members for any tips on getting a grease fitting to accept grease. I have two or three that don't seem to want to take any. Any tricks would be apprieciated.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard, Shadman!
I was having the same Zerk problem 'till someone on here suggested turning the knurled "pedorical" on the end of the hose. It adjusts the grip on the Zerk. No problems now.

There can be several problems. expecially since you don't know the total greasing history. Zerk can be plugged, You can try holding the grease tip on with one hand and pump the grease gun with the other and your leg or what ever you can prop it against, if that does not do it. Unscrew the zerk and try to clean it, and while you have it out pick down into the grease channel, and see if it is all dried out or what. Sometimes you just have to dissassemble the the pin and bushing (take it apart) and clean the old dirt and dried grease out of the channel of the pin..Yes a pain. There is a device to "blast out" the grease channel if you want to investigate them.

Have never heard that one before...will have to check that out, thanks.

One of my work trucks with a power liftgate gave the shop a problem one time, the tech who worked on it wrote on the service order "Had to heat pins to take grease" and because it wasn't during the colder months I always wondered what he meant. He probably used a torch to heat the pivot points to get grease to flow better. Not the kind of thing one would want to do to a tractor however.
