I think my tail wheel is too big

:laughing::laughing:

And even if it is a "different wheel" and is "supposed" to be bent like that (which I doubt), the obvious solution is to heat up the shaft, and bend it so it wont rub. Problem solved very simply. Who cares what the wheel is off of or wether it is "actually" bent or not. Just modify it to work. Its not rocket science

....and yes again. :)

Try lifting the implement when backing up then lower it and continue in forward.
Have to agree with everyone else, that is not the correct tail wheel assembly. It should be vertical.

Or you could do like I did when I bent one of mine,turn the wheel around and back into anouther tree. Didnt have to take it off and heat it. REDNECK way.

This is the rear wheel on my Behlen cutter. I have the rear of the deck up on a log for winter storage.

As I stated before the TOP of the forks should be level as in the picture in post #34 the forks should be canted. In the ops original photo the top of the forks are at an angle,therefore BENT.

Take a harder look. Those forks use a cheaper fab method relying on some bend in the neck above the top of the [straight] forks to give the caster angle. he just needs to unbend the neck a little. A couple weld beads on the back side while stressing it in that direction oughta do it ... and leave it stronger.

You've proven it's bent. Look at the picture you posted. The SHAFT is shown straight. Look at the OP's picture --> his shaft is bent.

No, I haven't proven anything...that's a picture of a Land Pride cutter. We have no idea who built the OP's cutter and the design might be different.
You're assuming all cutters are the same...they're not...but every one I've seen had some cant to the tailwheel.
