My old full blood Blue Heeler bred my neighbors dog which is a 3/4 Heeler 1/4 Border Collie. Eight puppies were born about seven weeks ago (6 males and 2 females) and I was given the pick of the litter and we took one of the males. Just got him yesterday. They kept one of em' too and the rest are already sold. They were all nice lookin' pups but we liked this one the best. My old Blue Heeler (His name is Blue) is very old and don't have much time left so now I can keep his legacy alive. Anyway, here are some pics of my new boy, we named him Cody. Enjoy guys! :D

Yep, he is cute (can a guy say that?) I have had 2 Heelers and they are great dogs, very loyal in my experience and always willing to "hit the trail".

A few years ago, a neighbor/farmer/rancher got a pair, male & female, of Blue Heelers. He thought he could raise and sell the pups and make a few dollars, but he also wanted the ones he bought to be trained to work cattle. So he let a fellow he knew who had working dogs take his male Blue Heeler to train him. The very first day that dog got kicked in the head by a cow. Then there was no way to train him to work cattle; wouldn't go near them. He made a good pet for several years, followed my neighbor around, and if they went near the cattle, the dog would jump up in the seat of his Kawasaki Mule.

Yea! We can use the word cute :). Now send us some pic. when he's 6 or 8 months old so we can see how he turrns out!

I will update him later as he grows. The cuteness will most likely wear off as time goes on but in my eyes he will always be a good lookin' fella, but it's because I like the breed so much. But then again I like a lot of breeds, I just plain Love Dogs. :D

Thanks for looking all! :)

Love dogs. Seems they love us too (we had 'em some time ago). NO DOG FOR THE MOMENT. But in my area you need to take care of what the dog does on the street ... If we'd be living in a farm only, no problem. But we do both - winter in a city, summer in a farm. :(((((

Heelers are very intelligent dogs. Sometimes too intelligent, and the kick he got was an instant learning experience to danger. He may never get near cows again for that reason. I guess I can't blame him for shying from them after what happened to him. He was lucky to be still living after a shot like that and he knew it. He got his bell rung on that one !:confused2: :)

I really enjoy seeing those dogs work cattle.

Great looking pup, my Native Brother. We had a heeler a few years back, he was a gift from a friend. Smartest dog I ever had.

Great looking dog!
I had an australian cattle dog for 14 years. One of the smartest dogs I ever had. Once when my wife was home she accidently left the kitchen door open with my then 2 year old at home. The dog went and barked at my wife until she went with him and he showed her the open door. Jake also liked to try and herd my neighbor's riding mower. I have a cheasapeake bay retriever now but would like another ACD.

Thanks guys, I am glad you all like him. He's a little handful but all Heelers are until they reach a couple if years of age. He has been busy herding my cats today so he is a bit tired. :D
