3rd Function Hydraulics, Good for more than a Grapple?

Looking at adding a 3rd function to my L39. Is the Kubota kit good for running anything "continuously"? Such as a sweeper or an auger? The only specs I could find were 16.3gpm for the new L45. I can't find anything for the L39.

The L39's main hydraulic pump is approximate 11 GPM at 2750 psi. There is a separate 6.2 GPM pump for the backhoe swing and a third 6.2 GPM pump for the power steering. If you want to run a sweeper or auger, you should look for one that would work at 11 GPM.

Potentially, you could combine the main and swing pump flows through check valves to get 17.2 GPM. The swing pump relief is set for lower pressure, I think 2500 psi, so you would have to add another relief after the checks set below that to prevent excessive dead heading of the swing pump.

I guess that is something they upgraded majorly on the L45! I wonder if that has 1 pump for the main and swing.

I use my third function for a grapple in the summer and for power angle on my snow-plow in winter.There is not enough flow for powered equiptment such as brooms,augers ect.

The L45 has 3 pumps as well. Per the Kubota website, the main pump is 11.8 GPM and the other two are 6.6 GPM. So it is just a slight increase over the L39.
