I've gotten a lot of good advice from the recent heavy snows on the east coast. We got about 7 inches of wet heavy snow this last weekend. I can't imagine getting 24-30 inches of this stuff.

Let me first say I can see how easy it is to get stuck. I have a BX2350 with turf tires. They work great as long as you keep it on the driveway. I slid off the driveway once and if the snow had been any deeper, I'd have been stuck.

Second: The idea of plowing 2 or 3 times instead of once helps. I was able to plow the first time with my rear blade and push it back from the edge of my driveway a couple of feet. That made the second time easier.

Third: The rear blade is the hot ticket as long as you have a place to push the snow. If you already have a lot of snow on the ground, I can see a snow blower being needed.

Edit. I meant to put this in the operating/owning forum

Also try taking 2/3 blade when pushing heavy snow..for good traction.

Pushing back the first few snow falls pretty far I found is key. Until I started using the Pasquali I plowed both our driveways with a 8HP Sears garden tractor with a 42" plow. If you didn't push it back far enough by the end of the year the driveway was pretty narrow.

Also, as Thomas mentioned one you get the first path cut down through the "keyway" you can take small bites. I have already only took a a small blade full then carried down the center to get things under control.

I have empty AGs - no chains on my BX24 and Bx1500 .
Traction was excellent plowing 6 or 7 inches of snow that had aprox 2 inches of ice under it.
