Anyone have experience with the product?

You watch too much American Choppers!:D

Looks like a good product. I have been told many times over that we have some of the worst diesel fuels in the world here in the US. I guess it can not hurt.

I saw this stuff on American Chopper tonight and my first thought was snake-oil. At least it's not terribly expensive to buy. Now if it damages the engine somehow, then the stuff is expensive.

I'd like to know what Cummins, Cat, Deere, et al think of this stuff.

I'd like to see the MSDS to see if contains the same compounds present in most of the other diesel additives. Don't see it or a link on their site however.

I sent them a request for their MSDS Sheet if I get one I will pass it on.

I was flipping through the channels and caught that part of American Chopper also. I agree with Mjncad more snake oil. Not saying the product doesn't work but I'd bet it is no different then any other product allready out there.{??} What made me think it was a farce was the way the guy{typical salesmen} preached about how perfect it was. If the old man{paul} hadn't shut him up he'd have stole the show and turned it into a info-mercial. Oops I quess the show allready is an info-mercial :D

HEY! That's really funny :D because it's been a year or better since I sat through an American Chopper show. The only characters I recognized was Paul Sr. and Rick. What caught my attention was when they explained they were building a chopper with a diesel tractor engine.

I found it interesting listening to the guy from Monster Diesel briefly explain the product. I believe he said it's non-petroleum based. There's not much detail on the website. I did see Paul Sr.'s face and endorsement on the website...... so it must be good stuff! ;)

I find all the diesel tractors and equipment I have ever operated ran just fine without any additives. Disclaimer: Note my location is in south Texas where a cold day is 32F. Back 40 years ago when I was on the farm in Northeastern Louisiana, we never used any biocide or any other additive and never had any problems with any of our tanks or equipment. We usually filled the diesel and gas tanks full at end of fall harvest to prevent a lot of condensation. WE used fuel filters on the pump and that was it. Never had a clogged fuel filter, sticky injector or anything else with fuel related problem. Maybe the fuel was better then. But now I buy 100 gallons at a time form my CUT and it lasts all year usually and still no problems.

Endorsements crack me up.

"Hey, we'll give you $xx,000 dollars to say you like our product"

"What do I have to do?"

"Nothing, just stand there with a smile and a can of our product in your hand"

"But I don't drive a diesel, in fact I hate diesels"

"Doesn't matter, just stand there and smile"

"O.K., where's my check"

On Diesel Place this is a really debated topic with a reseller on there. As a matter of fact I was told I was critizing the product and supporting vendor because I asked some questions.

Question One: If one bottle has the energy of 25 gallons of diesel, why aren't we building an engine to run on the stuff. And how can it be shipped via UPS?

One of the other claims by the reseller is that it was sold to a trucking company that claimed their milage went from 3 to 5 mpg to 8 mpg. A 62.5% increase.

Personally I don't have much belief in the product until independant lab tests are conducted.

As much as I like OCC, they are barely out of bankruptcy, and when probably endorse rejuvenation cream to keep afloat.

I searched their site and the internet and could find no 'independent' test data to support their claims. I'm surprised they didn't have it independently tested before they put on such a media blitz (unless it wouldn't support their claims). They must have gotten a bunch of venture capitol money to promote this product and rushed it to market. I'll wait to see the data. Still trying to keep a somewhat open mind.

Well the website lists an executive team of three members. All marketing and sales specialists. The last one on the list, Christina (can't be a day over 25) has an automotive background. Yet all of her professional experience is with marketing.

Add a formal NFL star and a politiacian and you've got a winning combo there!

I'd buy some but I have my savings tied up in Prolong Engine Treatment.... :)

That was kinda my point, it all seems like smoke and mirrors. Acouple of outlandish claims that can't be proven by the general public becaue of the expense.

I've been tempted to try a couple of bottles, but the last distributor I met kind of ticked me off. His backing the company line seemed to keep getting larger and larger every second.

Been owning/operating my own big rig for about 18yrs. Never use additives on a regular basis. IMO, if it'll do what it says, the fuel companies would be putting it in their tanks and selling the diesel at an even higher premium. Talked to many a rep from motor companies, tell me to save my money. I will use a qt of powerservice in each tank, if i get a big temp swing(20 above to -30). Just a little extra insurance, for i do a lot of night running, on back roads. Keep a gallon of 911 with me. Still have it after 5yrs or so.

Not saying it won't work, but it would have to be tried out on an unsuspecting driver for about a month(10,000 miles) of running. Then put a pencil to the mileage figures. Best thing to keep performance, mileage, and overall costs down is to change fuel and air filters on a regular basis.
