Yes... the govt. basically put a TARP on their $50 million tap on the Fannie. It was a "green" handshake of sorts; more of an exercise in accounting than true punishment. An Al Cobb-like bookkeeping move?

Where would one look for a Farmtrac 795DTC and Farmtrac 7115DTC?
Nomrally wouldnt even look at a smaller brand like this but an interest was sparked as they're made from the same design as my Favourite European Tractors.

Does anyone know anything about vijay raina? Is he the cause of Farmtracs demise? Is deutz hurting because of him? how did he get his way to the top?

Vijay was not behind the fraud, in fact I believe his oposition to it was the reason for his leaving farmtrac.I do however believe Vijay had knowledge of what was going on and did nothing to alert dealers.

As far as Vijay's present position, he was instrumental in a deal being signed with SAME-Duetz FARR and FARMTRAC . this happened when he was CEO of Farmtrac. I'm sure that at that time, being a good businessman , Vijay cultivated some good contacts with SAME-Duetz and then when Farmtrac and he decided to part ways,he was able to move to SAME_DUETZ FARR.I hope this answers your question.

I surmise, from your Handle that you are possibly a DUETZ dealer.Am I correct?

I understand that there are a lot of troubles with the company but please tell me what the quality of the Farmtrac 675 DTC is.I am thinking about buying one and i know the warranty is not good but i am willing to gamble if the overall quality is good.They look alot like the Fords and i understand that some of the parts are the same but i have read some posts about many problems.

I also have the 675 dtc. As far as I know, the only thing Ford on it is the hood. The engine is Perkins and complete drivetrain is Carraro. This tractor is not a Kubota but it works and it works good. Many of the controls such as the shuttle linkage are not real smooth, remote lever down a little far, and 3 point control sits low to. Otherwise I like it. Engine is fairly quiet, starts up in cold weather good, and is not hard on fuel. Front axle engages easily. 4 speed main transmission shifts as good as any manual transmission truck. The 3 speed range shifter is a little particular about staying in when shifted when you first change range speeds. 3 speed is worse if shifted at a standstill, better to be rolling just a little. Tractor is a feather for weight in rearend. I am going to add WW fluid this winter. Hydraulics are very suitable as far as lift capacity and speed. Only problem I have had was with a paint run under hydraulic filter that was introducing air to system. I have pulled a 7' chisel at10" deep, 12' disk, 9' hay mower conditioner, 4x5 baler, square baler with 8 bale accumulator and I like tractor on all of them. I have used loader to move quarry run, 20" and smaller, rock with no damage to loader. If rating the tractor from 1 to 10, I would have to give it an 8 to this point. I have less than 200 hrs. Time will tell.

The 675 has been in production for many years and as far as I know, it's still being produced in Europe. It was called a Farmtrac 80 at one time. It has a Perkins 1104C-44 engine, which is used in many applications here in the USA, so parts are available. For more information, check the Perkins website. The drivetrain is made by Carraro, based in Italy. They make drivetrains for many companies including John Deere. Efforts are under way right now to identify the components and establish alternate parts sources. Although I don't think anyone is stocking a large supply of parts for them here yet, they are available. Carraro has a large distributor here already. If you get a good deal on the tractor and have a dealer you can count on, buy it. If you're the kind of operator who doesn't take care of things and treats equipment roughly, leave it alone. Most of the problems we've seen on these have been operator related. If you don't fix leaks when they show up or don't tighten bolts that come loose, you can't complain when something breaks that shouldn't have and isn't quickly available. Overall, they're pretty nice tractors for the money, at least in my opinion. JS

According to November court documents, Raina is one of 11 former Farmtrac employees named to a witness list in litigation between Textron Financial and one of the tractor company's past retailers.

Raina led the company during part of the period when Farmtrac and Textron conspired in falsification of inventory records, tractor loading and wire transfer embezzlement.

Whether he joined Farmtrac with the intent of illegal and malicious acts is unknown but too much happened during his tenure for Raina--then Farmtrac's top executive--not to be aware and complicit in actions that ended up bankrupting the company, defrauding creditors displacing a manufacturing staff of workers plus shafting customers and dealers of millions of dollars.

In due time, it will all come to light.

It means that Tex**** is trying to apply stall tactics after they realized they don't want any part of court proceedings with Farmtrac dealers.

The $13-plus billion financial firm applied its usual myriad of bullying and manipulation tactics, thinking former Farmtrac dealers could be intimidated and manipulated into simply rolling over, submitting and eventually death. All the while, TFC would continue to collect interest on the overinflated full cost listing on hundreds of Farmtrac tractors across the country.

With some dealers decimated and others crippled, a core group has risen up; a prepared, tough-minded, adamant group that TFC did not anticipate.

And wish they hadn't stirred up, either. Like "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, hitting them has just "made me madder."

Court documents say issues regarding venue are on the docket now. After that is resolved, discovery of evidence and juror selection will take place if the complaint ends up a trial by jury.

Don't be surprised if opening arguments begin sometime in March 2010.

When the dust settles, the playground bully Tex**** could find itself on the short end of, in the words of the late Pat Tillman, "a good, swift aaaa** whipping."

We had to drop Deutz-Fahr specifically because of Vijay when we saw the same tactics being used that he had used at Farmtrac. Never come due terms, loading, "staging" then adding to the dealers flooring, shipping tractors configured different than the brochures, broken, rusty, not running, putting tractors on flooring but not shipping them to dealers, ect ect. Nothing happens at Deutz that isn稚 approved by Vijay he is the micromanager of the millennium and I am sure it was no different at FarmTrac. He knew exactly what he was doing then and he is doing it all over again right now.
