After one too many grass fires while cutting hay I decided I needed a good size fire extinguisher on my tractor that is easy to get to, etc. Here is what we came up with.

Thats big !

Same one as mounted on my baler and I have one on my welding trailer. Water and refillable - so, it should work. I have a smaller chemical one in the cab, but I hate to waste it on a grass fire since I can't refill it, etc.

I like it. Did you build the bracket or buy it? If bought, where?

I need to mount one on my 5101 and would rather have it on a heavy duty bracket outside the cab like you have there rather than inside the cab.

I looked and could not find a good solution. So, a buddy of mine looked and it and the tabs on the loader brackets for the fenders and lights looked like a good spot.

A buddy of mine wanted one also. Maybe we need to crank out some extras. We painted this one, but we could get them powder coated.

Gees, what starts these grass fires? Never experienced it or heard of it here in Central Pa and I've been in and around haying a long time. I'm not doubting your word -- maybe I should invest in fire extinguisher just in case.

Hot, dry days + rocks + disc mower - I only had one fire this year. it was the last cutting when things were really dry. One really has to be careful around here.

Next time you refill it, try a "little" bit of dish detergent with the water. It allows the water to penetrate better and extinguish fire.

Interest, that is a new one.

I wonder what I should do for winter? I might just pull it off and put it in the garage.
