Smaller dealerships may not do the rim guard themself because it does involve some overhead and expense getting set up. So in otherwords, having a tire dealer do the ballast it not uncommon. So is a block heater necassary? I do live in MichiganBut I only have to plug my truck in a few times a year. I guess what I'm trying to say is in an unheated attached garage would I need it? How hard are they to add? Thanks
The dealer doesn't do rim saverThey have a tire company come it to do it, It this typical?
My suggestion is just go with tire ballast and then it is always there and you don't have to mess with putting on and taking off the ballast box.
