Well iplumb.............I would say that you would expect to pay between $17,500 and $18,000 for a B2920 with options..........including a block heater and ballast. Have you shopped around yet?

So is a block heater necassary? I do live in Michigan:D But I only have to plug my truck in a few times a year. I guess what I'm trying to say is in an unheated attached garage would I need it? How hard are they to add? Thanks

The dealer doesn't do rim saver:eek: They have a tire company come it to do it, It this typical?

It depends on your winter temps if you need a block heater. Whenever it gets below freezing I like to plug in the tractor. I guess it is just better on the motor not having a cold start. The machine with the glow plub system will start in pretty much sub zero temps as long as you battery is good. The ballast is a counter weight for your loader operation and I believe it says in the owners manuals that if you have a loader you are required to have ballast for stability purposes. I think the ballast would run like $200 and anther $75 - $100 for a heater installed. A guy could do it himself but just as easy to let the shop handle it in case there is a problem. Hope this helps.

My dealer threw in the ballast box for free. For B-series tractors the box calls for 500lbs of weight. A box blade makes good ballast and is a lot more useful than the beer cooler.

My suggestion is just go with tire ballast and then it is always there and you don't have to mess with putting on and taking off the ballast box.

Smaller dealerships may not do the rim guard themself because it does involve some overhead and expense getting set up. So in otherwords, having a tire dealer do the ballast it not uncommon.

True, but I don't want to mow with loaded tires.

I think my brother in law paid $17,200 plus tax for a B2920, FEL, 60"MMM and new 52" Landpride tiller exactly one year ago.
