3-Point Hitch 3-point hitch not working

   / 3-point hitch not working #41
To close the loop on all this discussion, last night I did finally fix the problem by making the adjustment to the limit control linkage. I needed to go out and buy a very stubby 11/16" crescent wrench in order to get the adjustment done, because there is just not enough clearance for anything else in there. In a matter of minutes , I had the seat assembly back on and I was able to unmount the backhoe using the arms of the 3 point hitch, according to the manual. I worked very nicely.

This tells me that the dealer did not mount it this way (the reverse procedure) because there is no way they got the arms to move the way the limit control was adjusted.

Thank you all for your help. I can now hook up my newly purchased Bush Hog box blade that I purchased to do some grading on my property after some construction.

How long have you owned your tractor????

I bought it new in 2001, with the 430 FEL. Two years ago I bought the 447 BH for it. This was the very first time I've had any problems. I am a light user - I have only 165 hours on it. I use it most for moving dirt, horse manure, and post hole digging with my Danuser post hole digger.
