Hello,

I'm the new kid on the block with my first real tractor a 2520 with FEL and 62" deck. I want to thank the many sources of information in the JD group for invaluable information on getting the right 3 point arms and bagging systems.

With this system and a Swisher 60 inch tow behind finish mower I am mowing 4.5 acres in 1 Hour 44 minutes!

Welcome to TBN Bill and congrats on the new 2520! I just got mine last Thursday and am overly pleased with it. Nice size, pretty steady (I still need to set my wheels to the "wide" position and get the rear tires filled) and it has tons of power for loader work. Good luck with it.

Bill,

Welcome to the party. I think the 2520 is a great machine. Would love to see some pics of your mowing setup.

Best of luck.

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for the hospitality! I will work on getting the pictures of the mowing set up posted. With the 2 mowers I'm taking an 8 foot swath with nice results so I am happy.

Hopefully on Friday the Trac - Vac 854 arrives so we can get ready for leaves this fall. :D

I will be extremely interested to know how your trac vac works billmcba. I have read confusing accounts about how these would hook up to the 2520 and whether a lift kit is needed with it. Can you please post your experiences once you get the machine working? Pictures would be great. Also, post some experience about how the machine works for you. I've got my eye on the same machine to attach to my 2520 and I really want to get some feedback from someone with the same machines before I spend the money. Thanks.

Hi Bill,

I have also have 2520. I want to change the wheels and tires to the turfs. Would you be willing to look at your wheels and find the part numbers stamped into them and post your findings here or email me at markaspinwall@yahoo.com?

Thanks,

Mark

I have a 2520 with the hydraulic lift kit for mower deck and a PTO-driven TracVac. I have used this set-up two years in a row with good success. You have to crawl into the wagon to get all the leaves out, but all-in-all works well and is worth the money. Acorns don't damage the impeller (a big worry of mine). It rarely clogs, and when it does clog, it is pretty easy to dislodge. Clogging is usually due to grass clippings--not leaves.
