I've been buying culverts for my land for a few years now. It's something that I'm always trying to find the best price on, and maybe some of you guys are also doing the same thing.
I have half a dozen places to choose from in my area, but for some reason, Lowes has become the cheapest by a huge margin. Before, my farm supply store had the best prices by a few dollars over my contractor supply store. Both are in the $150-$160 range for a 12in by 20ft black plastic culvert with a ribbed exterior and smooth inside. These are what I like and all that I buy. The 15 inch ones are right around $200, but with some negotiating, I've been able to get them down to $185 if I'm buying other stuff.
Last week while at Lowes, I saw some 15in culverts in their garden section. I saw a price of $154 and couldn't believe it. I asked to make sure and was told that was the correct price.
I still had my doubts, but yesterday I bought two of them for that price.
