Thanks for the imput guys...

Will buy shortly...leaning towards 2920 just because of the 2hp extra at pto.

Heavy snow in southeastern canada.

I recommend the extra pto hp for many reasons:
- better resale
- better pto power
- $300/1 hp is cheaper now than latter.
I have a B2710 (27 hp) and I love it. I bought it used and got a very good deal. I would have gladly paid another $900 for the B2910 (30 hp) at the time. I run a 6' fm and it works fine, but there are times when the grass gets a little high and I feel certain the extra pto hp would power through it better.
I look around from time to time at used B's (ebay, tractorhouse, etc.) and the 2910's bring a lot more $$ than the 2710's and the retail price difference is only about $1000.
Agian, I love my 2710 and wouldn't trade it for anything except mabe a 2910.
Either way, I'm sure you will enjoy your new B.

I also recommend getting the rear tires filled.
My 2710 is narrow and you cannot adjust the rear tires unless you buy a spacer kit.
I filled my rear tires about 1/2 full and it increased stability by lowering the center of gravity. It improves traction and provides counter weight for FEL work.
Do the B+20's have adjustable rear tire settings?

The answer is no. I have a 2620 (great tractor) I have looked into this w/ my dealer Emerichs and they are sold at the widest possible tractor setting. I have my rears filled w/ rim guard and I have gained about 130 lbs. per tire as a result. The 2920 tires are the same size as the 2620 so you would gain the same. I agree w/ jloaf deffintily reccomended.

As far as your tractor purchase unless you need the little extra PTO horse. you would get w/ the 2920 over the 2620 than I would say go w/ the 2620, lots of power for its class for sure. I have no complaints. Plus the extra 1000 bucks can buy a nice tractor toy or 2. Good Luck!

I looked at both of these, ended up with a B7800

The 2620 didn't seem to offer much more in what I was looking for than the BX2200 I already had, anyway saw the B7800 drove it around the lot and as they say the rest was history. So far I've been very happy with the choice.

There is no comparison between the bx2200 and the b2620. I also owned a scut (NH. tz 25) which I traded for this b2620 and I can tell you there is a major difference. Sure I only gained 1 horse power difference but the things I can do easier now vs. when I had the NH are unbeleivable! Yes the 7800 is a nice machine I agree, just more than I personally needed and the money difference allowed me to get some toys!

I had the 51" blower on my 24HP B7610. I definitely wished for more HP while blowing 6" or more of snow. Will 26HP be enough? Possibly. 29 would almost certainly put it over the top.

Best of luck

I concluded a deal on a B2920 this morning. With some haggling I ended up closer to $600 more rather then $900 more. My thinking it was, sooner or later I usually need all she's got. Three ponies for $600 on a $20000 deal seemed reasonable. But I agree most of us could easily get by with 26HP.
Either way she is one nice tractor.

Thanks for the imput guys!

I went with the b2920. Worked out some freebies to offset the extra horsepower and will have it in about 2 weeks. The Front mounted 51" heavy duty blower with hydraulic rotation was not in yet.

I'm sure it will be a big difference from my case 448.

I use an old Case 446 18 HP gasser to blow snow here in a snowy part of Ontario and it does the job quite nicely. Last winter (one of the snowiest on record) there were days that the snow had fallen 12 inches deep. Just moved at the speed the blow could blow it and the job got done. Just depends on how anxious you are in my opinion.
