Forgot to add, you asked are they "fun". Oh Yeah, once you start mowing with a ZTR, you will not like mowing with the tractor as much.

ZTR have almost no wasted movement, unlike a tractor, so all your time is spent mowing, your lines are better, and you spend a heck of a lot less time trimming afterwards.

Definitely much more enjoyable.

I have a CC 2180 tractor, which I use for hauling the trailer, etc. around. It also has a bagger, for the occasional need to vacuum the lawn. The two compliment each other quite well.
