I'm in my second season with my Z and loving it. She is a BEAST! What are your suggestions for cleaning all the wet grass and clods of mud from the deck? I have used a garden hose and also have used shop air at 120 psi (works great if it's DRY grass). What I hate is all those little cupped depressions that are around each of the 3 spindles. Those get full of water and goo. Anybody ever filled them in with silicone or something to level out the surface for easier cleaning? I don't like to leave all the wet junk inside them because I'm afraid it will eventually rot them out. I'm tempted to drill holes in them so the water can drain.

I don't wash under the deck.. just use the air hose (shop air). Mostly just mow grass when dew is off. But even if wet grass, I don't add anymore water to anything caked under the deck. Just makes a bigger mess and more "goo".
Occasionally, when changing or sharpening blades, I scrape out the depressions, but not very much collects there.
I don't think silicone or anything will stick in those depressions..

I drive mine into the cornfield after it has been combined and mow a couple of 500' long rows. It cleans the bottom side pretty good.
