Your Tractor's Age????

Was the first photo taken at the tractor show in Elnora?
I've been going for a last couple of years and it's a blast. But I figured out there is too much to take in in one day.

The first picture was of my Allis D14 and it was taken at Portland Indiana last year. We drove it in a tractor caravan that started up in Michigan and travelled through NE Ohio and finally to the giant tractor show at Portland IN. We had a great time and I was able to spend some quality time with my son and teach him to drive the tractor.

I have been to the Elnora IN show for the last 2 years and it is a nice show.

I'd be more interested in the age and total hours on the tractor.

I seem to recall USAF Technical Order 36A-1-1301 listing tractors with either a 15 or 25 year life expectancy, but I can't remember what the hourly life expectancy was; only that a lube oil filter change was due every 400 hours and an annual inspection and servicing every 1200 hours (or 12 months from previous annual). I think it was 25 years because the 30,000 hour reading feels familiar.

Unfortunately, USAF doesn't have that tech order available publicly on-line.

While 30,000 hours may seem high, you have to remember that the Air Force usually uses industrial tractors to haul baggage carts and aerospace ground equipment on pavement. They don't get the beat-it-to-**** usage that a normal farm environment subjects them to.
