Hello TractorByNet Community!
I am newly registered but have been stalking this site for years. I love the honesty and knowledge of the tractor owners on here.

I am looking at buying a 2008 Mahindra 4110 with 1561 hrs. The asking price is $12,500 which is in line with tractor house and machinery Pete listings.
I am looking to hear from current or previous owners of similarly aged Mahendra tractors on their experience and opinions.
Also, I have been looking at mid to late 90s Ford 2120 as a comparison. These typically run about $15k
Thanks

How about Ford/ New Holland 2120 owners. Experiences? What should I be looking for/ concerned with and how much is too much $? I have already seen that parts availability is an issue.

The 2120 is a better tractor overall (opinion sneaking in here) even though it's fifteen to twenty years older. Much simpler design, less electrical circuits, much easier to work on, and it has NO TYM connections.

Parts availability? That's going to be an issue in both cases. The 4110 wasn't exactly an icon of a model, and parts support won't last long.

Mahindra has part for the 10 series. I have a 3510 since 03 and only put a clutch & pressure plate in it, normal wear and tear when used like a bobcat.

Since this thread is over six weeks late, this may be a late pile-on. I have the TYM HST 330 which is the Mahindra 3510 (TYM made it for Mahindra - the Mahindra had a Mitsubishi engine and the TYM has a Kubota). Mine is a 2005. I bought it with about 200 hours on it and it now has about 1200- about 1000 hours of hard land clearing and grading work (even abusive at times). I would rate it as quite reliable with one exception- electrical stuff. Even there, I would not call it failure-prone, but I had an issue with the controller affecting the starting circuit and had a glow plug relay go out. TYM has not historically had a good parts network in the US although with their acquisition of Branson they have more dealers than they used to.

The reason I'm commenting is that I have used Mahindra for parts for my TYM with good success. I have a Mahindra dealer nearby and Bill's Tractor (online) has also been a good source of parts. So despite an earlier comment about avoiding the TYM connection, these resources have worked well for me. That said, if money were no object, I would probably buy a more mainstream brand, but in my case it wouldn't have saved me any money or gained me any more reliability- just more choices for parts and service.

My 2093 3510 Mahindra has a TYM engine. Reliable and still running good
