That was the local dealer that I did not buy my truck from, red flags went off so I drove over an hour to the dealer I bought it from and left it with them..

Hope it works out OK. I think you were right about the red flags.

Might have been the grid heater relay. A good dealer is a great thing and hard to find. Good to hear you have your truck back.

For hauling my tractors and stuff around, like up to NY at my brothers place to help out haying, and doing custom brush hogging, and fixing driveways, I use a 2000 white F-250 supercab with 7.3 diesel, and a Applachian 16 ft double axle, 4 brakes with a 2ft droptail. Recently got that (Nov.2011) and previously I had a homemade trailer with everything the same except for the drop tail. OH yeah, almost forgot, new trailer is a car hauler and the old one was utility style with the side rails.

Enjoyed reading the posts, lots of nice outfits out there...

I finally went and bought a new trailer today! I went with a Lawrimore 83" x 20'. It's built out of 6" channel, two 5000lb brake axles, wood floor with an adjustable pintle hitch. So far I love it! The only problem is with the weight properly balanced when the BH is behind the tractor the tailwheel hangs off, but that's no biggie. My next truck will be heaver than the one I have now and I won't have to worry about the hitch weight. I'll be able to park the tractor a couple of feet forward on the trailer... I'm a very happy man!!!

It had one on it but I took it off, (the 2 5/16 coupler). My last trailer had a pintle hitch, after having one I'll never go back to a ball if I can help it! :)
May I ask why?
Ease of connection, swivel ability on rough terrain? The looseness and banging around on the pintle hitch setups in our service and heavy duty trucks drives me nuts.

So much easier to connect, the latch flips up so you can just back up until you fill the them bump together when working solo instead of the back up look, back up look, back up look, scenario. They have heavier latch mechanisms, some latches on ball couplers are down right finger pincers and can get cumbersome to use after they get some age and rust on them. Their just easier, heavier and I trust them more.

Plus I don't want to invest in a weight distributing hitch when I plan on having a heavier truck within the year. We'll see though, the one I have now is payed for and I really don't want another payment.

Makes sense, also I agree with the hesitation of a new truck. Mine's been paid off for two years now and that extra $450 a month is nice!
