My favorite tool is the swiss army knife, champion model. Lost it, 3 days later bought a new one. Found the lost one and now have a spare.

Thanks PineRidge. And if you've had them and used them for 10 years it sounds good.I just might take a look at Napa.
I just drove to the biggest sears we have around here. 60 minutes away for a simple 22 mm 3/8 DRIVE standard socket.
They don't have any , as they are phasing out these and replacing with the laser etched sockets.
While they are easier to read, I don't like the idea that I will have to pay the difference in price on any warranty returns of the older style sockets.
Thats sure to be an arguing point when I go back... LOL
They guy actually told me the 22 mm was an odd size.
HMM I have a set 4,----26 mm with the only missing one in the gap of 22 MM
I don't think they would all of sudden say. lets make a 22 MM socket 'ODD"
And the sears website says they are avail. and stocked in that store..
.. Sorry got a bit sidetracked there...

Metrinch toolset. It uses flank drive rather than corner drive so it's much less likely to round off any bolts or nuts, and since it's flank drive they can make a single socket that fits both metric and sae; i.e. there is a 3/4"-19mm socket that fits both sizes. Cuts way down on the number of tools I need to bring with me to work on anything.

I have but one favorite tool. It is a nice black recliner located in the sunroom. While encased in it's soft commfort plans can be made on how the hard tools will be used to fix the destruction I have wrought on my equipment. Rest to implement those plans is also sure to follow!:D

I cannot imagine what my life would be like without Channel-lok pliers. That and a Crescent "hammer" is a full toolbox. :)

Same here. I use it several times daily, more than any other tool I own.

Jim I remember what my dad would say when I was a young man every time that I reached for an adjustable Crescent wrench. He used to swear &%##$ they always rounded the corners of any nut or bolt they ever touched.

Wild Bill's been gone now for years and I have lots of Crescent wrenches. ;)

My favorite unpowered tool would have to be my Lie Nielson block plane. I look for reasons to use it. There is something really satisfying about using woodworking hand tools in general.

My favorite powered tool is my Stihl MS460 chain saw. This thing is nearly unstoppable.

My daughter's favorite tool is my hot melt glue gun. She has discovered that almost like duct tape, super glue, or WD40; hot melt glue can fix anything.

My favorite tool is my credit card. It gets me the exact tool I need when I need it, so THAT tool becomes my favorite tool for the time being.
