When my daughter was three her mom started letting her play with "pretties" under supervision, she painted her moms nails but that wasn't enough. I was next. Half way through I asked her how come mom got pink and blue ones and I only got blue. "Daddyyyy, pink is a girl color".

The thing with girls is that they are always Daddy's little girl even if they are 40 years old. It seems the first grand child gets spoiled the most which is OK I suppose. Our first granddaughter spent as much time at our house as her parents. She still confuses folks when she calls my wife "MOM".

This is by far the best thread I have ever read anywhere. Oh the value of memories. Helps us realize how much our soldiers miss not being there when the children are small. To each who missed such due to serving this country thank you.
