You Know You Are Old When

Married 35 years tomorrow and have never missed a night together.

I've been divorced over 30 years.
The ex was a roller and kicker. Even the cat I had back then stopped trying to sleep on the bed
I learned to sleep on the edge of a King size bed.
All this time later, after time spent alone and with a good number of others, I still wake up on the edge.
It's surprised several that I don't fall off the edge.
Actually I did once with a cutie that snuggled up during the night and ended pushing me off.
On my own, I'm good.
I've tried to sleep on the whole bed. I end up on the edge.

As a teenager, I slept on my stomach with my right foot on the floor. It seamed like the most comfortable position for me back then. I'm glad that is over with.

Trouble is, that was me as a teen. One ER nurse at our hospital used to joke that they just kept my file out on the counter between visits.

My brother in-law was like that.... dirt bike racer. He got a new hip this year, as he wore the original out.

I feel very old now.
I took my wife to dinner in this car and no one even noticed it, then I figured out why:
This car is 56 years old now.
As a kid I helped my Dad work on our 1947 Packard. At that time if you subtract 56 years that was before the Ford Model T was introduced, so to young people it's a very old car.

I used to go horseback riding with my Dad on the property where the mall was built.

We used to ride snowsleds where the mall is now, and buy milk at the dairy where Kohls now stands. At least the farm name remains... Whiteholm Farm Plaza has a Walmart,Lowes, Burger King and a few other stores.

One of the local airports I used to fly my ultralight into is now a Meijer's store.
They also flew a lot of old war planes into and out of it back in the 60s. It was a really cool place to hang out as a kid.
