Hi guys,

First off I'd like to thank everyone for the wealth of info provided in these forums, and Tractorbynet for providing the space. I've been lurking for a while here and the old yahoo group and have really learned a lot.

I just moved up from a ym2000 and have a question. On the ym2010 next to the range selector, there is a knob for which I have no clue what it does. I believe I saw a small lever in that location on some other tractors, but mine is just a knob. It turns very easily. Can anyone provide a clue as to it's function?

I must say this 2010 is REALLY nice. Loved my 2000, but the smoother 3 cyl and power shift is great. I was really surprised that the 2010 seems to be a good bit more powerful than my 2000.

Again, thanks for all of the great wisdom shared in a very cordial group.

Gary

I have one of those on my 2202, If you pull it up and move the shifter forward you can go into a ultra low gear for a realy slow speed... I have not found much use for it...

I use the low gear for tilling ground for the first time and when I want to accurately spot the tractor.

Thanks for the info. Didn't think you could go slower than the creeping speed.

The ultra low gear is creeping speed, By the way if you checkout another thread someone is asking how to get a tractor to run at .2 mph, it sounds like creep on my machine.(I think he wants to run a planter.)
