YM2001 vs. YM2210

Ok, I currently have a YM2001 2WD, gear drive, 3 Cyclinder.

I came across a YM2210 2WD with 400 hours and talked the guy to $2800, I know that is a good price, my question is how much of a "upgrade" is it from my YM2001? I know the HP difference, just curious as if the YM2210 is heavier and stronger and better suitable for a loader?

The 2001 will actually be about 100lbs lighter than the 2210 but a little bigger. The 2210's powershift is really nice when using a loader and the tractor overall appears much more heavy duty. If you have ever taken one of the 2210s apart you will notice how huge the internal pieces are compared to other tractors in that hp range.

Is the 2210 easier to work on? parts cheaper? or are they roughly the same?

Is it a 2wd or 4wd? Either way it is a very good deal if in decent shape.

The 2210 is probably not much easier to work on but parts are much easier to get.

You do know the YM2210 is a 2 cyl.

Danny, yes I knew the YM2210 was a 2 cyl.

I think I am going to purchase it, everything works, it doesn't smoke, no leaks and it has 456 hours, it has a 4 digit tach. My YM2001 has the dash gauges whereas the YM2210 just has the idiot lights, I prefer the gauges.

Oh and the guy has owned it for 20 years, so I guess that's good also??
