- Zetor 5211 Ford 5000
Ok, Now I've asked it, for no other reason than I could!
What is the "quietest" operating common US market tractor in the 50hp range made? I'm asking about open station, diesel, 50-60hp-ish gear tractors in the 5-6k lbs range. (Not hydrostats or sub-compacts) and at a normal working rpm. Mainly curious on older models from prior to 2005.
What got me wondering is a co-workers MF 1190. It's sporting an Isuzu 4cyl diesel and I'd say it's probably the quietest tractor I've come across in the weight/hp class. I don't have extensive backgrounds with many tractors, I have to admit.
His "Massey" is Iseki built from the tag on it. Quite a bit quieter than my 5211 Zetor. Same compared to my old SMD and Dad's Ford 5k and 60's vintage Case.
Same with the neighbors old Deere. (That thing could drive you insane).
I'm curious mainly as I'm always looking/shopping around and if a GOOD tractor is available that's noticeably quieter....Well, never know what I may bring home.
Thoughts?
