Good evening everyone. My ym2000 2tr20a head was dropped off at machine shop after suspected head gasket failure and they said It has multiple cracks in it and not repairable.( A lot of antifreeze in the oil.)Looking for advise and reaching out to bad if anyone has a used usable head.
Questions are .
1.Is it worth paying 780$ *(after rebate and shipping from hoyt)for new head and 800$ for install + fluid change etc. so 1600$ total head and install for a 2 wd older tractor?
2. Does anyone have a resource for a used head?
This is an older ym2000 2 wd that I use to pull bush hog on trails and cut my few acres.
Im too far away and dont have time to attempt repairs myself so stuck with mechanic where its at in maryland. If I didnt repair it I would need a replacement quickly. And funding is limited as I definitely did bot see it coming.
