yep.. if racing and no throttle/gov control.. i'd look at the rack

Got the pump off this morning and sure nuff one of the plungers is stuck, when this is stuck so is the governor, luckily there is a local shop who can repair or rebuild, the man sez may be possible to just take it a apart and free the plunger, should get it back tomorrow or the next day.

previous owner removed the fuel filter and ran the fuel line straight into the pump

Here's what should be on there. (Ignore the incorrect short bowl on this, I had to also buy the correct bowl before it would take a Yanmar element).

That new plactic bowl does not look very clear, i hate that! I like to see into the filter and see whats in there. Mine i guess is original, was on it when i got it off a VN sellers lot. I think its plastic, but clear like the cheap throw away ones, i dont think its glass? Im pretty sure its plactic but just almost crystal clear as i think i remember someone saying not to use harsh solvents like carb cleaner or brake cleaner as it could cloud the bowl?

When u put fuel in the bowl it will get clear. I replaced mine with one of those. I thought the same thing

Put the injector pump back on today and got the tractor running, runs pretty good,has a little blow by but nothing serious, the clutch, brakes and pto are all ok, steeres good, there is a slight leak where the front cover of the hydralic pump bolts on but again nothing serious, I think its a fairly good $300.00 tractor, don;t know what I'm gonna do with, just like a challenge I guess.

Well I got 975.00 in it, but i got a 4' bush hog that I can get $400 for and box blade that will bring 250.00 so I really got 375.00 in it
