Not to question your judgement. So, please don't take the wrong way. Are you sure you saw blue smoke & not black smoke?? Black is most always ( as I have found) to be fuel related. While blue smoke is most always ( as I have found) an oil related problem . Anyway, glad you got it fixed

I dont know might have been more gray than blue I do know before it could hardly pull itself without bogging down now it runs right along I think it is running better than when I bought it to wet to really push it maybe i can work it some this week I can't wait thanks Ed

I agree with other posters that the easiest stuff should be checked first....to that end, I would have drained the fuel and refilled with fresh diesel. We've seen them smoke, run weak, and be very hard starting due to nothing more than bad fuel.
