So here is my version of the DIY golf cart canopy. I fabricated all the brackets myself and if you look close you can see the toolbox i mounted behind the seat on the ROPS. Still don't know if I should take the top off and paint the underside or just leave it. Future plans are lighting and a downdraft fan. Your comments and opinions are welcome.

Looks very nice. I'd leave the bottom without paint but that is me. Lights you mention would be a nice touch. Good work !

Now I'm thinking a light bar front and rear and mabye some pods aimed to the sides? Also, I have a fan already I can use for a down draft.

Looks sort of "factory"!

Must be nice to live where there are no snow loads to contend with. ;-)

What is this "snow load" you speak of?

;-)

Local humor!

The sun shade looks very nice, and I'm sure works fine even in these days of solar flares.

Haha...Thanks for the kind words. We get a little snow here every few years but not enough to constitute a "load" , well not since '93 anyway. We gonna see if the shed is Irma proof here in a day or so.

Oh, I would not like to see that lift away! Good luck to you.

Here, I have trees 100 feet overhead to break the wind. Still, when the blows come, I worry that the car park will be pulled right out of the ground. Some years back, we had a "straight line event" that took a half dozen 90 year old trees and pushed them down like dominoes. one on the other.

I like your sun shade, but I would have that ripped off in a day or two trying to negotiate the tight trees. ;-) Open station with rops folded is the way I ride.

My daddy tried to do just that the very first day. Its cracked on the front edge now but not too bad. I sprayed a little more paint on the skint place so it aint noticeable.
