Yard Tuff aerator

I purchased a 60" Yard Tuff aerator from Northern Tools a while back, but results were not good. So I added weight to YT, and waited until we got a good soaking rain here in Iowa. Attached are the results, and what the weight configuration looks like. The aerator did a very good job under the right conditions. Now to overseed and fertilize in a few weeks.

Looks good. The ticket for aerating is an aeravator, but they are insane expensive. For the price you did well and it will work for what you are wanting to do.

My 72" aerator weighs over 1100 LBs with it's weights. The other key is to go slow so it penetrates more.

On my soil, it's a real balancing act to have the ground soft enough to penetrate but not too soft to leave tire marks.
