as I said in my first post I started the tractor up Thanksgiving to let my brothers have a looksee and offer any input.Well yesterday was the first day I had to look at the tractor,mainly to see if I'd overlooked a thermostat.The service manual shows one on the 226d which is the nearest to the 1610d.the answer to that is no,why I don't know but it doesn't.any way I glanced at the overflow bottle and a quarter of the antifreeze had been sucked back into the rad.I think I'm going to fill the bottle a quarter full and see what happens.
