Yanmar C25R

Just bought a Yanmar C25R. Mechanical drive [non hydraulic drive]. Probably 1997 year. Anyone know what type of oil is used in the transmission? 2 speed gearbox also provides oil to hydraulic pump for dump cylinder.

If it's the basic old fashioned gear mesh drive and the fluid also runs the hydraulics probably a good grade of universal tractor fluid would do fine. You can get it at just about any tractor supply place or even NAPA.

Great - thanks! First time with this type of drive. Seems the C25R with mechanical drive was only manufactured for a short time, manuals are hard to locate.
