This is a diesel motor on my generator. I changed my fuel feed pump and loss 1-2 ounces of oil out of fuel injection pump. I have looked for the drain plug on the pump and don't see it, figuring I will drain the rest and put some new oil in. I think I see the fill hole on the top of the pump left side? I have looked for information on line and didn't fine anything. Tomorrow I will call Hoye in Texas if I can't figure it out. I spoke to them last week about a little yanmar tractor, very knowledgeable, I am hoping pumpguy sees this too. He knows his stuff. Would love to post pictures but I'm still trying to figure that one out too.

There is no drain on that pump BECAUSE, u cant put to much in.. it has oil level holes in the front brg plate..
The excess will drain into the engine..
Have a look at the back plate on the governor.. is it lower than the supply pump??
U might get a smidge more out thru the back cover.. or use a baster bulb..??

So would I even have to fill it. If the pump oil flows out, wouldn't it flow in too?
I don't want to damage the injection pump over a ounce of oil. Thanks for answering

I think I have it figured out, there is a oil line from the block to the injection pump that refills the pumps as needed. In my opinion that is so cool.

Fill the pump thru the fill port on top of the gov. hsg. 5-8oz I think.. & wait 5 minutes before u start the engine..
That will give the oil time to seep thru the rear bearing onto the cam shaft..
U don't want to start that thing dry & HOPE that the engine fills it before u burn the bearing inside the pump..
