this agrees with Normde's assessment. A few things to look for before buying a used Yanmar.

The photo on that page looks familiar ... My cousin took that photo for me in Ben Luc in 2012. I posted it (and several others) here. After everyone's input, the thread became a pretty comprehensive guide.

Very possible the YM150 is a cobbled together tractor as stated in Hoyes avoid list. It clearly starts life as a YM1300D.

Don't know but Hoyes shows a YM150 as an avoid tractor as it is Korean made according to them but in reality it is a YM1300 which is a Jap grey market in this case.

And you know this how? This tractor has an external air filter. The YM1300 does not.

And I think the external air cleaner uses a different intake manifold, if its like my similar YM186D where the manifold has a flat flange where it emerges from the side cover and the donaldson filter is bolted to that.

So it appears to me this might be a YM1300 with YM155 components used as needed to overhaul it. Who knows where the YM150 hood decals came from, maybe Ebay.

I'm with Normde thinking maybe the Korean YM150. No reason to have a YM150 hood decal or where would it even come from?

Does he not say the serial number starts with YM1300D-XXXXX?

On the Trans.13000-xxxx or 1300D-xxxx and stamped which should be correct. But he also said there wasn't a Ser. # Plate on the Eng. Block. With that being gone who knows what Eng. was used or what all was cobled together. It's really sounding like a Frankenstienermar.

Well am going to call a 1300D for now. Next problem is the axle leak on the front axle gear case. Does anyone have anything to share on changing the axle seal ? (should I start another post with a different title?) Got a seal from aftermarket seal and hydraulics supplier.(SKF), but have not been able to get a workshop manual, only have the parts manual for 155D, which looks identical for front axle so any help appreciated. Boltz

Are you sure it is not a 1500? Pictures maybe? After reading back through this old thread I see it could be a 150. No doubt a rare one if it truly is. Have you read through the entire thread?

This was just posted in Atl.CL. Farm and garden a few days ago. If it is a 150 this 146 almost has to be vary similar. May want to try and reply and check for any info on it that can be useful...
