Yanmar 1100 2wd
Hi guys
I would to ask ya's opinion on what size of rotary to cutter to get for my tractor a small Yanmar 1100 with 14 horsepower. Comes in a a daintly 1080 lbs 3 weights up front.
Been looking a "Bush Hog" SE42 or a "Rhino 42" or a Howse 3ft. The heavist of the three is the Howse 3ft. The lightest is the Rhino 42. but it is rated for 15 hp minimum. The "Bush Hog" SE42 is rated for 10-20 hp and weights less the 3ft Howse but more than the Rhino 42. I'd appreciate ya's input.
Thx.....

You'd probably get a better response in the yanmar forum, however.. my guess is for something like the KK XB series.. they have a 42" mower with dual tail wheels to help with stability. Choose a low ger if it gets to be high material. I'd opt for that vs a 3' mower, as you can always take a 3' bite with a 42" mower .. but i fthe grass is light or stemmy and an easy cut.. then you can take the the full bite.

Guy down the road uses a regular 4' mower on a 1300.. he makes 2 passes with it when the grass is thick... I think 42" would be a better match.

My IH cub has a MMM that is more like a 'hog' than a finish mower due to the blade carrier and blad thickness. Unit is 42" and tractor only has about 11 hp! cuts ok... but is geared way too high ( 3 spd ) with lower gears it would be much better.
