Yamnar 2000 seems to be starving for fuel. It dies when in gear or just idling. It ran great today for about an hour. Thanks.

Plenty of fuel? Clean fuel filter? No trash in tank where outlet goes out? Fuel cap loosened to prevent vacuum?

Was in running normal until today?

"It dies when in gear or just idling." It will run with throttle open and not in gear?

Remove line 22 where it attaches at the injection pump shown here and see what kind of flow you are getting to the injection pump. Yanmar Tractor Parts: FUEL_SYSTEM

If your old rubber fuel lines haven't been replaced,, now is a good time to do it.. They will go bad

I had this problem when I first bought the 2000. On your Throttle arm hold it in place so it don't fall. Or keep your foot on the Throttle pedal. There's a Nylon washer in the Throttle linkage that goes bad, You can adj. it by the lock nuts. If that's the problem .
