Ya, that's not good...

The orchard I worked for had a 175 M-F with multipower (?)... a lever which would keep it from freewheeling.
It also had one brake which grabbed before the other.
I was going down a hill one wet morning and stepped on the brake to slow for a turn... which caused it to take off against the governor. I went flying around that corner barely in control, in a rough semblance of a power slide. Luckily I managed to control it.

I was told at a very young age that clutch in/out of gear combined with brakes isn’t going to end well. Usually you don’t have this much time to think about it all but at least he had the good sense to get out when it got impossible to save.
