Hopefully I can update my profile next week. Got a text from owner of Magees and he said I would have it next week. Getting a XR4046H with 72" grapple and bale spear. Industrial tires seem the way to go also. I don't plan on doing much plowing or discing with this tractor. My wife wants to know why I need three tractors. You guys have any reasonable explanations???? Please?

Congrats on the new tractor! I think you absolutely made the right decision with getting HST ... and you can yell the wife that HST is so easy to use, she'll be able to use the tractor as well! (Whether that's good or bad )

My wife has fun on the XR4046H, she couldn't muscle to old AC. I showed her how to use the FEL moving dirt. She enjoyed that for a while, said it was like playing PacMan.

Yeah, I feel where you are coming from. Mine too. BUT, she has several pairs of workboots (I have one pair) and mows with the Kubota HST and the John Deere Zero Turn.

Before I committed to buying the tractor I figured I should test drive (ride?) it. He handed me the keys and said try it out. Keep in mind my newest tractor is 36 years old. I felt like I was in the cockpit of a fighter jet. It took me five minutes to figure out how to start it. Kept looking around to see if anyone was watching me look stupid.

It seems pretty well laid out to me. Once I got it fired up I figured about everything else out. I noticed it shut off with the key, which surprised me. Also impressed with how quiet it ran.

You guys probably think I got a lot of questions for a 56 year old that was raised on a farm.
But is this tractor going to die when I stand up to see exactly where the bucket or grapple is? If so how many of you have altered that situation?

I have a commercial mower and left the seat doohickey enabled on it, it is the only time I haven't disconnected one, but the thought of turning a thousand pound mower over with blades turning about 10000 rpm makes me a little more cautious.

It will only kill the engine if you raise out of the seat, and press the hydro pedal. I found that out by trying to stand up and see my stump bucket, while trying to edge forward.
Otherwise, you can exit the tractor while running, with no problems.

Set the brake before removing butt from seat, that beeper will drive you crazy!

you can stand up and leave the seat as long as you have your foot off the hydro pedal, I added a front and rear cam so I could see the ground, but I have a cab so it won't mess with the video screens.

I like the visors and the the mirror, I'll look into those.
