I am the proud new owner of a X485 2WS.
I would like to make sure all of the lubrications have been done recently but in the Operators Manual it is only showing the Streering Cyclinder Ball Joints, Front Axle (Left King, Right King and Center Pivot). Isn't there other places that you need to service? Like the center drive? Deck??

I must say that the Owners Manual isn't very helpful at all.
Any ideas where I can get a more detailed manual?
Is this one worth it??

I think you covered the main lube points on the tractor, but you should have another manual for your mowing deck or other attachments. Check out the link below, which will take you to the manual for 48C, 54C, & 62C decks for X485, etc. - select the service lubrication tab in the left sidebar. Those are nice mowing machines!

I think you've got them all that's on the tractor. Look in your other equipment manuals to find others for attachments as om21braz says. The X485 is a nice tractor for it's size but you have to watch out for debris getting into the radiator and screen causing the engine to overheat. Compressed air works well to clean. John Deere issued a special letter to all X485 owners about a year or two after the model was introduced explaining the importance of checking the radiator and screen and cleaning as necessary. I have a very large lawn to mow so I kept an eye on the heat gauge also while mowing (most debris from 62C mmm).
Good luck with your X485.

Yes, the deck needs grease.. at each spindle and each deck wheel. The PTO drive at each u-joint (assume this you call the center drive?). The front wheel spindles each have a zerk as well as the pivot for the front axle.
I have a few more than you do on my JD X485 AWS.

And the tech manual on a CD will give you lots of additional information if you are curious and enjoy having that information at hand easily.

Eh. I cleaned my screen for the first time a few weeks ago. Its a 2004 model and I've had it since 2005. It was pretty dirty. Changed nothing on the temp gauge. I think the mowing conditions have a lot more to do with it than anything in JD's design.

Now when the deck belt went bad and started slipping, that really made the engine work hard and sent the temp gauge almost into the red.

I am NOT familiar with the X485, but I think it was very similar to my X740.
The X740 has a zerk in the main drive shaft universal joint, just in front of the transmision. It is a bit of a pain to get to with the grease gun, but I suspect it would be a much bigger pain to replace!

You will have zerks on the tractor drive shaft and the mower drive shaft. It is easier to do these with the deck removed. JC

I have an x485. It needs a new transmission. It will cost more than the tractor is worth. Tractor was purchased new and dealer serviced twice a year. Good luck with your X485.
