My 4 year old lawn tractor just started having trouble on inclines in forward and reverse. I checked the plastic bushings and they are fine. I adjusted the forward pedal to give me more throw in the pedal. Got a lot faster on the level ground but it's still laboring / whining on inclines. More noticeable when it warms up.

It this transmission serviceable?

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Through my reading it's sealed? Where do I check. Thanks

Understand.
Have you been able to check the drive belt, to see if it is slipping or in bad shape?

Thanks beenthere. The belt looks good and does not appear to be slipping.

So you are thinking all the "slipping" is internal to the transaxle?

When it is going up hill and the forward pedal is 'to the floor', it sounds like a power steering pump that is struggling. whining, etc.
