Looks to me like it weighs 1000kg or 2200lbs. The specs are just under a ton for lifting.

That is cool - doesn't look like they are available here though. As a side question - how do cranes like this work? What I mean by this is how is the boom constructed - are there hydraulic cylinders inside the boom to extend the sections? I am wondering this because I keep thinking off and on about constructing a small crane with an extendable boom for my own use.

They did a piece on these a few months back on The Discovery Channel. They were pretty neat, mainly designed to get into tight spaces inside buildings according to the show.
