It's coming here, be patient. Sure was nice the last couple days down here in the lower but that changed last night. Got up this morning to 45 outside and the central furnace was on.
I've had the PEX system running in the shop for a month now. I like to keep the slab temp stabilized at 72 degrees and I don't like playing 'catch up' with slab temperature as the weather gets colder.
As usual this time of year, lots of car-deer crashes. You'd think people people would be more cognizant of deer, especially this time of year, but I guess not. Problem with vehicles today is they are built so lightweight that hitting a bambi usually results in major damage, not to the deer but to the vehicle and often times the occupants as well.
Keeps the bump shops busy and insurance companies whining. Out here, when I go anywhere on the back roads, I'm tooling along under 30 mph so if a bambi darts out, I can avoid it.
I also see that the DNR is promoting the taking of does this season. There is a glut of does down here and the DNR wants them culled as much as possible. Myself, I prefer a doe over a buck anytime. Doe's are much better eating as the meat isn't gamey like a buck is. I'm sure I'll be putting at least one in the deep freeze this season.
