A couple years ago I lost a Huge tree 6' diameter across the base, Finally got it all split and use it for supplemental heat in the basement woodstove. But it is going to be around awhile and I figure it would last longer covered and stacked.... Plus I wanted to cover my trailer and anything else that might have to sit out temporarily... So this is my start

This is phase #1 of a 2 phase project the second phase is going to include bordering the perimeter of the pavilion with railroad ties to keep the gravel where it belongs(the railroad ties are coming from yet another project pertaining to an upgrade remodel of planting bed and the end of the driveway, So right into the next project.... Keep'um coming honey /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.... the wood won't take up all the space so we can and will use it for outdoor events (see picture of picnic table in front of junker)

Nasty,

It may not be you. Others have reported problems this morning viewing attachments in other forums. Don't do/change your attachments until our hosts have had an opportunity to review things from their side.

Ok thanks for the info, I was really scratching to Ole' Noggin on this one /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif... I even tried to put pics in my gallery and that was a no-go also...

Per Muhammad "Ok, we should have that fixed now... but there will be a few attachments that didn't get saved. I would recommend uploading them again. "

I tried viewing your attachments with no success. Looks like you may need to upload again. You should be able to do this by editing each post then re-attaching the picture.

Early this morning I tried to attach a URL and the computer hung up solid all three times I tried. Maybe related?
Maybe I'll try again later.

Nice setup Mark.

I got a bit nervous that it wasn't going to be big enough when I saw the pile of wood in the background in the first picture. I didn't realize until the later pics that the pile is sitting on a hill.

What are the dimensions? It looks like you have about 10' to the bottom of the rafters.

I've been considering doing something similar. I was thinking of making a 20x40' (or so). On one end, I was going to install one of the outdoor wood furnaces and enough firewood to burn for a season. For this area, I was probably going to use the 20' width by 16' of the length. The remainder was going to be left open for "recreational" purposes. The plan is changing in my mind regularly since it keeps expanding. I was thinking of integrating a kids play set (swings, ropes, play house...) off the opposite end of the wood stove.

Thanks for the compliments, post to post is 22' square and the overhang is 24' square.... Height is 9' on short end 10'+ on the high end ...Once I get the Rairoad ties in I'll post a few additional photos

One of the things that was the toughest to do was installing the 14' long roof panels while sweating so bad in the 95
+ heat and super high humidity, I was afraid I would slip on my own sweat /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

But I hear the garden calling to me now ,have to clear the left over corn stalks for a second planting /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif hopefully it will have time to mature(but thats for another forum)

Nice looking project, I am beginning to be a big fan of the "keep is simple" principle. How long did it take you?

Well I worked on it as time permitted, a few hours on some evenings, half a day on the weekend...I suppose it was about 3 weeks taking my time between orders for materials (trusses & roof tin)But it seemed pretty quickly I was finished on phase 1.... Total cost was about $1700 not counting the 20 tons of cr6 (another $400 including delivery )for the parking area .... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Well it looks great and seems like a bargain also. What's 20 tons come to in yards, I pay about $110 for 10 yards delivered.

Looks really nice and a handy addition to the property. Two questions, (A) Since you traded your tobacco stick collection for a posthole digger, how come you didn't at least get telephone poles for the posts? (B) When's the painting party to match the garage to the pavillion?

Larstan, I'm not sure about the conversion , but your price is a whole lot cheaper than what I paid /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif the 20 ton load of Cr6 looked to be about 10-12 yards...

Dummy, What you mean you didn't get the invitation /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif the mail system is awful /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sorry you missed the paint party its already done /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

But your welcome to come sit in the shade and shoot the breeze at the next HOE-DOWN /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Oh the telephone poles, Hmmm? They weren't as easy to get as the 6x6 posts , I like square uniform posts /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
