Ive been looking for a cheap RFM and I found this. It needs an idler bearing which Ive ordered.
I have a three point hookup to replace the quick hitch in it. Not for my lawn but for some areas
that I want looking better than the bush hog does and is a little rough for the lawn tractor.

Doesn't look bad to me. A little repair here and there , sandblasting, paint and it will look like new..
And if you got it for a good price, well worth it.

Use only name brand woods belt $80- $100 other ones do not work. The on line places trick you into thinking they are woods! Go to a dealer. The wheels are expensive 4 would be better. Each spindle has a grease fitting. The on line manual has a roughting belt diagram. It has been a dependable implement. It can be used behind a 8 or 9 n ford with chains to hold the lift at the correct height.

Ive got $75 in it plus a bearing. Ive heard about the aftermarket belt problems. This one still looks good but time will tell.
I had a Caroni RFM that the wheels were high. I replaced them with HF pneumatics, a world of difference on deck bounce.

You can use an aftermarket belt if you choose carefully. A&I sells high quality belts and they cross reference many OEM belt part numbers. I used to sell their equivalent belt to fit a Woods RM990 for about 2/3 the Woods price. Used one on my own mower and never had a complaint from a customer. Place I worked at was a Woods dealer. Their belts are great quality but stupid money.

I also never had any luck with any brand belt but Woods, on mine too...
