I’ve lived in the Mojave for over 30 years and this has been the windiest summer ever. Wind is 15 to 20 steady every day with higher gusts. Typically, when the temps go over 100 in July the wind stops.

If I had a wind turbine I could be rich. LOL.

If I had to rely on a wind turbine here - I'd have to learn to live w/out electricity. The big wind farms are 50 to 70 miles to the south. Down where the tallest structures are the wheat fields.

Actually, I've been thinking about visiting the Great Plains so that I can see the wheat fields.

Our wheat fields here are in an area called the Palouse. Mid Eastern WA to the Colombia River on the south and most all of Mid Idaho.

Born in deadwood SD, Raised in Fargo , Valley City, Minot ND and Aberdeen SD.

You don't have a clue about wind until you have walked two miles to school in January
